Bagels ’n Grinds was founded by Adam Greenberg, a Maryland restaurateur passionate about bringing authentic New York bagels to his community. Adam opened the first location in Hanover in 2012, expanded to College Park in 2017, and most recently added Potomac in 2025. Each location features a $50,000 glass-enclosed water purification system, underscoring his commitment to quality and consistency.

Because University Park sits directly beside College Park and minutes from the University of Maryland campus, most residents are here in just a few minutes.
Yes. Our College Park location opens at 7AM, so there is time to pick up a fresh bagel and coffee before a morning class or a commute down Route 1. Every bagel is baked fresh on site that morning, so arriving earlier in the day generally means the widest selection. We close at 2PM.
Yes. We provide full-service catering for University Park gatherings of all sizes, from school functions and team breakfasts to neighborhood events. Platters include fresh-baked bagels with shmears, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, and box coffee. Orders are placed through our online catering menu.
Yes. Our College Park location offers validated parking in the hotel garage for up to two hours, and there is additional metered parking behind the hotel and on the opposite side of the building. Ask our staff to validate your ticket when you order.
A 16oz coffee is $3.99 and a 21oz is $4.49, poured from an 18-foot beverage station with six hot coffee varieties. Espresso and Cafe Americano are also $3.99. Cold drinks come in 16oz and 24oz, and any drink can be made with five milk options.
